Great value on annual plan

I was looking for a productivity app that wouldn't break the bank and landed on FocusCommit. I saw they had an annual subscription discount, which made it a much better deal than paying monthly. I got the full features for what felt like a very reasonable price. Compared to some other apps, the features they packed in for the cost felt like a steal. Definitely worth the purchase for someone trying to save money but still get good tools.

Love this app

FocusCommit is fantastic! I've been using the Pomodoro Timer and the Task Prioritization Tool constantly. My focus has really improved, and I feel so much more organized. The Cross-Platform Sync works perfectly between my laptop and Android phone. I'm telling all my colleagues about it. Definitely shopping here again!

Solid productivity tool

I got the lifetime deal for FocusCommit to help with project management. The Kanban boards are really good for visualizing workflow, and the GTD principles are well integrated. I found the Focus Session Reports helpful for understanding how I spend my time. The only small thing is that the UI, while functional, could use a bit of a modern refresh in some areas; it feels a little dated compared to some other apps. But it delivers on its core promise, and for a one-time purchase, the value is there.

Good app, minor sync issue

I purchased the annual subscription for FocusCommit after trying the free trial. My main goal was to better manage tasks with the GTD workflow and use the Pomodoro timer. The onboarding was smooth, and linking my Microsoft To Do account was easy enough. Delivery, being a digital product, was instant – just downloaded the app. I've been using it on my Windows PC and iPhone. The Kanban boards are intuitive for task visualization, and the Pomodoro timer with focus music integration is a nice touch. I did run into a minor issue where tasks I updated on my phone sometimes took a few minutes to reflect on the desktop app, which was a bit annoying when I was quickly switching devices. Customer support responded within 24 hours and suggested re-logging, which seemed to fix it for now. Overall, it's a solid tool for productivity.

How does FocusCommit stack up against something like Forest or PomoDoneApp? Just looking for some real-world comparisons.

P Priya Marsh 1 month ago
FocusCommit is way more feature-rich than Forest, which is basically just a timer. FocusCommit has the Kanban boards and GTD stuff, so it's a full productivity suite. PomoDoneApp is closer, but I find FocusCommit's interface a bit cleaner.

I used PomoDoneApp for a while. FocusCommit feels more integrated, especially with the GTD principles built right in. Forest is super simple, just a timer, so it's not really a fair comparison if you want task management too.

Hey, wondering if FocusCommit has like, an actual free version or is it just a trial thing? Don't wanna get hooked then hit a paywall immediately.

N Noor Silva 1 month ago
Yeah, they have a free trial which gives you access to most features for a bit, but it's not a full free version forever. You gotta subscribe after the trial.

It's just a trial afaik. Like, you can try it out for a few days but then it's paid. I think that's pretty standard for these kinds of apps though.

Thinking about switching from Todoist. How well does FocusCommit integrate with Microsoft To Do? That's a big one for me.

B Ben Beaumont 1 month ago
It integrates pretty smoothly! I use it all the time. Tasks from To Do show up in FocusCommit, which is super handy for my workflow.

Yeah, it connects directly. Not just a one-way thing either, it syncs both ways which is great. Means you can manage stuff from either app.

Does FocusCommit ever do a lifetime deal? I hate subscriptions and would rather just buy it once.

M Megan 1 month ago
They definitely do! I snagged one during a Black Friday sale last year. Keep an eye out around those big sale periods, they pop up then.

Yeah, sometimes they have them. Not always available, but I've seen it mentioned a few times. Usually for like, special promotions or early bird stuff. Worth checking their site regularly or signing up for emails.
